Six: “have you seen my piety?”
It is said that most men lead lives of quiet desperation, some even by choice. The monks that choose to occupy this valley lead a life filled with strict vows of purity which, unsurprisingly, earns enormous merit. For them this is their escape -an oasis of serenity.
In a mind where the mere notion of Absurdism is well absurd ones divine purpose could easily be found in full light. Perhaps there is a feeling, a sincere sensation, that is divinity in nature.
Fittingly so these structures seem to grow from their rocky basins making these anachronistic monasteries seem purposely furtive and dangerous.
With Carthusian thoughts in mind and a keen sense of discretion I cautiously approach and begin my own ascension.
